New cinema boss lives Hollywood dream - He has been a fan of the movies since he was a boy and now Gary Stevens truly is living the Hollywood dream.

The 44-year-old officially took over at Fakenhams Hollywood Central Cinema at the weekend after buying the business from Trevor Wicks who continues to own the other Hollywood Cinemas in the chain.

Dolby sheds jobs from UK cinema manufacturing division - As if the recent quesrterly ernings reports from Warner Bros, Walt Disney and News Corp were not proof enough that the entertainment industry is far from recession proof, news is out that Dolby Laboratories will be closing down its UK manufacturing operation. WU projectionist promotes perfection in film quality - It was snowing. The Webster University campus was nearly abandoned, but in the Winifred Moore Auditorium, strange things were happening. Adrift at sea, a six-armed goddess danced on a lotus flower to music emanating from a phonograph constructed from a peacock. The glowing image painted the hall in a bluish-pink hue.
